    Overview

Low Shield PvP is a simple resource pack designed to fix the bulky shield model in Minecraft. By default, shields take up a massive portion of the screen, making it hard to see your opponent or the terrain during a fight. This pack shifts the shield position downward and further to the side in the first-person view.

    Features

    • Lowered Idle Position: The shield sits much lower on the HUD when you aren't using it, clearing up your peripheral vision.
    • Better Blocking View: When holding right-click to block, the shield model is pushed further away/down so it doesn't cover the center of your screen.
    • Full Visibility: Helps you keep track of players and projectiles without the wood or iron texture blocking your line of sight.
    • Vanilla Textures: No changes to the actual textures or colors; it only modifies the item model files.

    Resolution & Performance

This is a 16x16 resolution pack. Since it only changes the item models and doesn't add high-res textures, there is zero impact on FPS. It will run exactly like vanilla Minecraft.

    Compatibility

    • Compatible with Minecraft 1.8.9 through 1.20.x and 1.21+.
    • Works with Optifine and Iris/Sodium.
    • Functions on all servers and in single-player.
    • Can be layered on top of other PvP packs; just make sure to place it at the top of your resource pack list.
