04 / FAQ

Before you ask

Is TexturesPack official?
Nope — we're an independent, fan-run catalog. We're not affiliated with Mojang or Microsoft, and every pack remains the property of its original author. We just make them easier to find.
Java or Bedrock?
Both are welcome. Most packs are Java resource packs, but Bedrock support depends on the original creator — just check the platform badges on each pack page before downloading.
How do I install a pack?
Hit Download on any pack page, save the .zip, then drop it into your Minecraft resource packs folder. Every download page has a short step-by-step guide if you get stuck.
Do I need Optifine or shaders?
For most vanilla and faithful packs, no — they run on plain Minecraft. High-resolution and PBR packs look their best with Optifine (or an equivalent shader loader), which unlocks custom connected textures, emissive blocks and shader support. We flag packs that need it on their detail page.
Can I submit a pack?
Absolutely — we review submissions from texture pack creators. Reach out through the contact details on our legal pages and we'll take a look.
