Overview
This resource pack adds frame-by-frame animations to food and drink items. It mimics the popular "Eating Animation" mod but works entirely through a texture pack, so you don't need to install any extra loaders to see your items get consumed as you use them.
Features
- Animated sprites for almost every edible item in the game.
- Visual "bites" taken out of food items while the eating progress bar is active.
- Drinking animations for potions, milk buckets, and honey bottles that show the liquid level dropping.
- Includes animations for specialty items like golden apples, chorus fruit, and suspicious stew.
- Works in vanilla Minecraft without requiring Optifine or Cit Resewn.
Resolution & Performance
The pack uses the standard 16x16 vanilla resolution. Since it only swaps simple item textures during the use-action, there is zero impact on FPS or game performance. It stays true to the default Minecraft look while adding a bit more life to the UI.
Compatibility
This pack is compatible with most modern versions of Minecraft. It should work fine on version 1.20 and above. Since it only modifies item textures, it can be layered with other packs; just make sure to place this one at the top of your list to see the animations.
Note
If you use other packs that change food textures, the animations in this pack will still use the vanilla-style sprites. It works best with the default look or other faithful-style packs.
