    Overview

    Visible Ores makes mining easier by adding bright colored outlines and glowing textures to every ore block. It is designed to help you find resources quickly in dark caves, especially in the deepslate layers where ores can be hard to see against the dark stone.

    Features

    • Clean, colored outlines for all overworld and Nether ores.
    • Emissive (glowing) textures for the ore chunks themselves.
    • Supports standard stone ores and deepslate variants.
    • Includes outlines for Raw Ore blocks (Raw Iron, Copper, and Gold blocks).
    • Compatible with shaders – the outlines will pop even with lighting effects enabled.

    Technical Details

    Requirements

    To see the glowing/emissive effects, you need to use Optifine or a combination of Continuity and Continuity-compatible mods (like Iris/Oculus and Entity Texture Features) on Fabric or Forge. If you don't use these, the outlines will still appear, but they won't glow in the dark.

    Resolution and Performance

    This pack is 16x16 resolution, keeping the default Minecraft look. It has zero impact on FPS and works perfectly on low-end PCs.

    Compatibility

    Visible Ores works on most modern versions of Minecraft (1.17 and up). Since it only changes block textures and property files, it shouldn't conflict with other packs as long as you place it at the top of your resource pack list. It covers all standard ores including Diamond, Emerald, Gold, Iron, Copper, Lapis, Redstone, Quartz, and Ancient Debris.
