    Detailed Animations

Smooth skeletal movements and fluid limb transitions for character walking, running, and interaction states.

    by Cymock·Updated 2 months ago

    Overview

Detailed Animations replaces the stiff, default player movements with smoother skeletal animations. It focuses on adding fluid limb transitions and realistic weight to how your character walks, runs, and interacts with the world without straying too far from the blocky aesthetic.

    Features

    • Revamped walking and "hop-run" cycles for more natural movement.
    • Dedicated animations for climbing ladders and swimming.
    • Horizontal body positioning while flying with an Elytra.
    • Contextual idle animations and unique reactions to rain or being on fire.
    • Built-in physics for capes and active Elytra wings.
    • Dynamic jump, fall, and landing transitions to remove the "sliding" look.

    Requirements & Compatibility

This is a custom entity model pack. To work properly, you must have Entity Model Features (EMF) and Entity Texture Features (ETF) installed. This pack is specifically designed for these loaders and is not compatible with Optifine.

    Incompatibilities

    • Fresh Moves or Just Expressions resource packs.
    • Better Animations or Trainguy's Animation Overhaul.
    • Minecraft Comes Alive (MCA).
    • Paper Doll mod.

    Recommended "Not Enough Animations" Settings

If you use the Not Enough Animations mod alongside this pack, use these settings to avoid flickering or visual bugs:

    • Animation Smoothing: OFF
    • Disable Leg Smoothing: ON
    • Ladder Animation: OFF
    • Holding Up Items: No Items

    Resolution & Performance

Since this pack only modifies player models and animations rather than high-resolution textures, there is effectively zero impact on your FPS. It works at the standard 16x vanilla resolution.

    Versions

Supported on all modern versions of Minecraft from 1.19.x through 1.21.x, provided the dependency mods are up to date for your specific version.
