If you already use the standard mob animations that everyone loves, you might feel like certain things are missing. That is where Fresh Animations: Extensions comes in. This isn't just one single change, but a bundle of several official add-ons designed to work together. It pulls in a lot of extra work by the creator to add consistency across things that usually don't get much attention, like boats or specific mob textures.

Most of the big changes go toward adding variety. For example, creepers get new skins and occasional model shifts so they don't all look like clones. Spiders actually look a bit more like insects with better leg joints, and even skeletons get quivers on their backs. It makes the world feel like a more complete texture pack collection because the animals and monsters have more personality than the standard blocks would suggest.

There are also some very specific visual tweaks included here. You get emissive textures, which means certain parts of mobs glow in the dark, and a massive detail add-on for livestock like pigs and cows. One of the cooler parts is the objects extension, which actually gives movement to things like chests and minecarts so they don't just sit there static. If you miss the old days, there is even a classic horse model that uses the 1.12 layout but keeps the smooth movement of the modern version.

To get this working right, you have to load this pack above the main Fresh Animations file in your menu. It is built specifically for the vanilla look, so it might not play nice if you have other heavy resource packs changing mob shapes.
