Overview
Fresh Food replaces the flat 2D sprites of Minecraft's food items with detailed 3D models. It also adds unique eating animations that change as you consume the item, making hunger management feel a bit more reactive.
By default, items remain 2D in your inventory and item frames to keep the UI clean and compatible with other texture packs. If you prefer 3D models everywhere, you can toggle that setting using the RespackOpts mod.
Features
- 3D Models: Every food item has been rebuilt as a custom 3D model.
- Dynamic Consumption: Items visually change as you eat them—apples show bite marks and fish leave behind skeletons.
- Plated Variants: By renaming items, you can turn food into "plated" versions that sit flat on tables or inside item frames.
- Sprite Compatibility: Keeps standard 2D icons in the GUI so it doesn't clash with packs like Animated Textures or Detail Brush.
Plated Food Items
You can display food on tables or counters by using a name tag or anvil. This is great for decorators who want realistic kitchens without using armor stands or complex mods.
Resolution
This is a 16x resolution pack designed to match the vanilla Minecraft art style. Because it uses optimized models, you shouldn't see any noticeable drop in frame rates compared to standard textures.
Compatibility
- Supports most modern versions of Minecraft.
- Works best with Not Enough Animations and Hold My Items for the best visual results.
- Requires Puzzle or RespackOpts if you want to access the configuration menu to enable 3D items in frames and inventories.
- Fully compatible with "Bare Bones" when using the official add-on.
