    New Glowing Ores

Emissive ore textures with connected block outlines and integrated mod support for increased subterranean visibility.

    Overview

New Glowing Ores makes it much easier to spot resources while mining by adding emissive textures to every ore in the game. It also includes an optional "Border" style that adds connected outlines around ore blocks so you can see the shape of a vein even in total darkness.

    Features

    • Self-illuminated ore textures for all vanilla ores, raw ore blocks, and Ancient Debris.
    • Connected block outlines (Border version) that link adjacent ores together.
    • Redesigned deepslate variants to ensure high contrast in deep caves.
    • Support for popular mods including Create, Mekanism, Werewolves, and Cobblemon.
    • Subtle glow effects that don't wash out the original Minecraft art style.

    Technical Requirements

To make the textures actually glow and connect, you need specific mods installed:

    Fabric & NeoForge

    • Continuity is required for the borders and glow effects to function.
    • If you are using Sodium (version 0.5.x or older), you also need Indium.

    Forge & Vanilla

    • Optifine is required for emissive textures. Note that the Border version specifically requires Continuity and may not work fully on base Optifine.

    Resolution & Performance

This is a 16x16 resolution pack designed to match the default Minecraft look. Since it doesn't increase texture size, there is zero impact on your FPS. It is safe to use on low-end PCs and laptops.

    Compatibility

The pack is designed for version 1.17 and up. You can ignore the "Incompatible" warning in the resource pack menu for newer versions like 1.20 or 1.21; it will work fine as long as you have the required dependency mods (Continuity or Optifine) for that version.
