Overview
Patrix 32x is a high-detail resource pack that focuses on realistic materials and smart tiling. Unlike many other photo-realistic packs, this one stays color-matched to the vanilla game so your existing builds won't look out of place. It is designed specifically for use with shaders to make use of advanced lighting and surface depth.
Features
- Advanced Surface Mapping: Fully supports LabPBR for realistic reflections, normals, and specular effects.
- Smart Tiling: Uses heavy randomization and Optifine-format tiling to prevent repetitive "grid" patterns on large surfaces like stone and dirt.
- Entity Animations: Includes custom mob animations by FreshLX, tweaked specifically for these models.
- Vanilla-Friendly Palette: Colors are matched to the default game textures, ensuring compatibility with standard maps and builds.
- Biome Integration: Foliage and grass textures respond to biome tints and work with most biome-changing mods or datapacks.
- Modular Setup: Comes in multiple parts (Basic, Models, Addons) so you can choose how much detail you want to add.
Recommended Setup
This pack is built for shaders. If you don't use shaders that support normal and specular mapping, the textures will look flat or slightly off. For the best results, use a shader pack that supports LabPBR features.
Resolution
This is the 32x version of the pack. While the resolution is low compared to HD packs, Patrix uses a high number of extra textures for randomization and 3D effects. This makes it significantly more demanding on your hardware than a standard 32x pack.
Compatibility
Patrix 32x supports Minecraft 1.21 and older versions. To see all the features, you will need either Optifine or a combination of Fabric mods (Iris, Sodium, Continuity, Entity Model Features, and Entity Texture Features).
Usage Note
Always place the "Basic" pack at the bottom of your resource pack list (just above the default Minecraft resources). Addons and Model packs should be placed on top of the Basic pack.
